Drama queen rules in concert tour
Concerts are a luxury some enjoy frequently while for others it can be a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to Netflix, Taylor Swift fans can enjoy the experience her newest concert tour without the ticket cost.
Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour shows one of Swift’s many shows on her Reputation world tour. This film follows the show she played in Dallas, Texas.
Viewers can enjoy songs from Swift’s newest album as well as some of her older, classic songs. Some older hits that may sound familiar are “Style” from the album 1989 (released in 2014) and “Love Story” from the album Fearless (released in 2008).
Swift embraces her inner diva during this tour, as she makes many comments about people ruining her reputation as a singer and celebrity. While it shows her passion for her new music, it is somewhat childish and backs up her enemies’ statements that she is a drama queen.
She is very well known for her break up songs as well as her drama with other celebrities including Kanye West and Katy Perry. This drama happened a long time ago and she seems to be unable to put the past behind her.
One thing missing is the other acts that were a part of the tour. Camilla Cabello and Charli XCX were on tour with Swift but are not featured in the Netflix show.
There were also many instances where Swift changed her new songs and created her own remixes. While her creativity is admirable, some songs do not need to be deviated from their original beat and lyrics.
One thing that made this film worth watching was how lifelike the show is. Viewers see everything as it was played on that night rather than extra behind the scenes clips or interviews. It is less of a movie and more of an experience.
